Profile

• C Permit required as well as obligatory minimum initial training
• Staff on long-distance assignment from Monday to Friday
• Some work performed at night

Roles

• Application of improved asphaltic plug joints based on:
  • the state of the art
  • safety recommendations

Tasks

• Daily refilling of the melting machine
• Loading materials for the site’s needs
• Setting up work-area signage
• Controlling the binder and heating fuel temperature using a manometer
• Cutting with a floor saw and demolishing asphalt mixes and/or existing joints with a hammer
• Removing rubble and cleaning the joint reservation
• Preparing the binder and filling the roadway joint
• Systematic cleaning at the end of the project
• Carrying out daily maintenance of the production unit (machine and vehicle level, servicing, etc.)
