Grand Périgueux: A new innovative and sustainable process in the test phase

As part of its ecological transition, the municipality of Périgueux is looking for alternative solutions at controlled cost in favor of sustainable development. Thus, in compliance with the multi-year plan dedicated to road maintenance, the technical teams prioritize and target the maintenance work to be carried out according to their dangerousness and frequentation.

The thermo-repair technique was therefore chosen for this test phase and implemented on Rue Talleyrand-Périgord, which is strewn with potholes and cracks in the roads. This first stage of implementation, validated by the road authority, will be subject to a control phase between 6 months and 1 year and will thus make it possible to assess the effectiveness and durability of this alternative solution.

The objective is to promote a road maintenance technique that is more respectful of the environment, efficient and economical in order to meet the challenges of the energy transition.
